Pamela Joyce, author of School Hazard Zone/Beyond the Silence-Finding a Voice, is a Literacy Specialist and Urban Education Consultant. She earned a
PhD in Urban Education at the City University of New York, Graduate Center, a
Master's Degree in Reading at Montclair State University, a second Master's
Degree in Philosophy of Urban Education at the City University of New York,
Graduate Center and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood
Education at Queens College. Her teaching experience ranges from pre-school to
college level courses. She
has been an educator for more than 30 years.
